Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
This quest is only available during the Bounties of Blackwood event. To start this quest, you will need to accept it via the Crown Store or find a note entitled Bounties of Blackwood at one of the following Event Exchanges:
-
Event Exchange (Auridon), Vulkhel Guard
Event Exchange (Glenumbra), Daggerfall
Event Exchange (Stonefalls), Davon's Watch
Event Exchange (Vvardenfell), Vivec City
Event Exchange (Summerset), near Alinor
Event Exchange (Northern Elsweyr), Rimmen
Event Exchange (Western Skyrim), Solitude
Event Exchange (Blackwood), Leyawiin
Speak to Chanil-Jei at the Event Exchange outside Leyawiin. You will be given three tasks, which will require you to travel around Blackwood. You will need to visit a Striking Locale in Blackwood, defeat a Group Boss in Blackwood, and visit the Job Brokers in Leyawiin. Note that you do not need to actually accept a daily request from the Job Brokers, you just need to approach their stalls. However, since you need to defeat a Group Boss for this quest anyway, it may be prudent to pick up a quest from Britta Silanus to take advantage of the extra event rewards.
Once you have completed your three tasks, you will need to return to Chanil-Jei at one of the aforementioned Event Exchanges. Once you return he will greet you warmly:
- "The waters have returned you to me. Tell me, did you witness all there is to witness? Have you been changed by your sojourn?
What stories have you fed to the rivers?" - I did as you asked.
- "Wonderful. You altered the current irrevocably and your stories are woven into the stream. You see? You are changed. And I am changed for having met you. Stagnant waters go nowhere, after all.
Please, take this. Thank you for indulging me."
Although it's not repeatable, this quest counts as a daily for the purposes of the event. You will receive either a Glorious Blackwood Legates' Coffer (if it is your first repeatable quest of the day) or a regular Blackwood Legates' Coffer in addition to gold and XP. However, you will not get an event ticket from completing this quest.

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
