Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
This quest follows immediately on from the events of Finding Jebyn the Sailor. Ivon Seloth will be grateful that you believe in his innocence, and will ask your help finding those responsible, citing a greater conspiracy at play. His first suggestion is to investigate Rathes Falveno, who often loiters around the apartments and is known to have done work for the Marvus family.
Speak to Rathes - he's the warty Dunmer wandering the apartment corridors, and will break easily under questioning. He won't wish to talk in the apartments themselves. Instead, meet him in the basement of Aimrah's warehouse. It's the building with the crane on top. Rathes is waiting for you. Question him while you can - at the end of the conversation, he will flood the basement and attempt to kill you. Return the favor. The key to exit the basement is on his body, so take it (and the Peculiar Wax Amulet he carries), and return to Ivon Seloth at the shrine.
A journal update will trigger when approaching the shrine. Ivon is not there. The journal entry will prompt you to speak with Zadathys Aldrethi at the Sailors Inn in Aimrah, which you should do. Zadathys will express some alarm at the latest events and tell you to speak to the hetman for the key to the lighthouse, where 'a shady congregation' of people has been seen.
The hetman, Dava Arenim, is in the Communal Tradehouse. Explain everything to her (that Ivon has disappeared and you think he's in the lighthouse) and she will give you the key. Go to the lighthouse and speak to the guards outside, who have been sent to accompany you. You can enter the lighthouse now, and should ascend until you run into the lighthouse keeper, Ulvo Telvor. Speak to him peacefully, and show him the Peculiar Wax Amulet you took off Rathes's body. He will provide further context to the cult that operates below, and reveals the existence of a secret door that can be opened by interacting with the Dreugh shield on the ground floor, by the desk.
(You can also kill Ulvo, and interact with the shield anyway)
A passage to the lighthouse grotto ("Aimrah, Lighthouse: Grotto") will open behind you as you move the shield. Go through it and enter the caverns. You should have the guards sent by the hetman in tow. Descend through the cavern, killing the cultists (including members of the rotting ship, Paruddma, and Barandas Marvus). The priest, Ivon Seloth, is caged in the final chamber, and you will need to defeat the cultists' leader, Obedur Marvus. He's wearing a valuable Dreugh Cuirass, which you may wish to take.
Free Ivon Seloth, comfort him and help him leave this place. Once out the lighthouse, he will request time to think. You can speak to Zadathys in the Sailors Inn, and Dava Arenim in the Communal Tradehouse in the meantime, and they will offer their thoughts on the events. Dava will express horror that she had overlooked a cult for so long, and give you 100 gold in thanks. Zadathys will have much more to say. Press him on the topic of the barmaid Anara at the end of the conversation, and he will reveal that she is also a member of the Marvus Family (and thus the heir to the Paruddma). You can optionally tell her this, and encourage her to use the ship to get away from Aimrah, and its memories.
Return finally to Ivon Seloth in his apartment. He will reward you with the Potion of Seven Wonders, while also exhibiting certain strange tendencies. You can advise him to seek healing, in which case he will eventually appear at the infirmary of Serynthul, where his 'condition' will progress to the point that he is unable to speak. Either way, at the moment you finish conversation about 'Jebyn' with him, your quest is complete.

Ivon Seloth wants to know who killed Jebyn and why. First lead would be to find the person who carried Jebyn's body to his house. Seloth suspects that Rathes Falveno, a commoner working for the Marvus family, might know something. Rathes often loiters in the halls of the apartment complex. I should find him and question him. |

Rathes Falveno told me that he has some information for me, but he's too afraid to disclose it here. There's a warehouse outside with a crane on the roof. Rathes said that he'll wait for me in the warehouse basement. |

As it turns out, Rathes Falveno just wanted to lure me into a trap. He's trying to drown me. I should escape and return to Ivon Seloth. |

Ivon Seloth is gone. There's a change in the air that can be felt. A chill coming from the lake. This doesn't promise anything good. Perhaps I should try and speak with old Zadathys Aldrethi again. |

Zadathys suspects that both Ivon Seloth and his captors are still in Aimrah. The Paruddma is still docked here. There's one last place where they could be hiding: the lighthouse. Its door is always locked, but the hetman of Aimrah, Dava Arenim, must have the key. Zadathys suggested that I explain the situation to her. |

Hetman Dava Arenim told me to go the Aimrah lighthouse. She will send Indoril footsoldiers to carry out the raid with me. |

Ivon Seloth is alive. I should escort him out of the grotto and the lighthouse. |

I escorted Ivon Seloth back outside. He said that I should visit him later at his home, but that right now he needs some time to clear his head. In the meantime, I should report to hetman Dava Arenim. I should also pay old man Zadathys Aldrethi a visit. |

Ivon Seloth thanked me for everything that I did. He was still somewhat shaken by all that has happened and said that he might leave Aimrah for good. It seems that my job in this town is done. |

I met Ulvo Telvor, the reclusive lighthouse keeper of Aimrah. He has obviously undergone some sort of horrible metamorphosis. I wonder if it's at all possible to learn anything from this madman. |

Ulvo Telvor revealed to me that there's a hidden grotto underneath this lighthouse where the others are. He wouldn't tell me where its entrance is. |

I confronted Obedur Marvus in the grotto under the lighthouse. He revealed to me his intention was never for Jebyn to die. He told me that after Jebyn witnessed what Obedur and his followers were doing, he was overcome with madness and took his own life. |

I confronted Obedur Marvus in the grotto under the lighthouse. He revealed to me that the lighthouse keeper, Ulvo Telvor, was transformed into his current hideous form after he found the grotto and the Dreugh by accident. |

Obedur Marvus told me that Jebyn was in fact a member of the Marvus family. He wanted to offer Jebyn to the Dreugh, so that Jebyn would undergo a ritual called karvinasim to appease them. It seems that that way the captain would've avoided having to undergo the ritual himself. Since Jebyn is dead, Obedur needs someone suitable to take his place. He already has someone suitable in mind. |

|
Obedur Marvus told me that the Marvus family is bound to the Dreugh by blood -- has been ever since his father married his mother. To uphold this covenant, a member of the family must undergo a ritual called karvinasim when it is deemed that the time is right. Now that the Dreugh are here, captain Obedur seems desperate to find a replacement to save himself from the ritual. |

|
Obedur Marvus gave me an obscure lecture on the nature of "Paruddma". It seems that Paruddma is some sort of a spirit or entity which Marvus and his followers worship. Marvus claimed that there's a Temple shrine in Khuul where one of Paruddma's incarnations was killed. However, Marvus claims that Paruddma and the Dreugh can never die, but are always reborn. |

I told old Zadathys Aldrethi about what happened in the grotto under the lighthouse. He told me that all that had happened confirmed his suspicions about Jebyn's heritage -- that the young sailor was indeed a member of the Marvus family, which is why he was captured by the cult led by Obedur Marvus. Zadathys thanked me for dealing with them and offered me a drink. He also mentioned that I should speak with Anara and tell her the truth. |

Zadathys told me that he believes Anara to be Jebyn's sister. According to him, being the last remaining member of the Marvus family she will inherit everything. I should speak with Anara if only to let her know what happened to Jebyn. |
