Welcome[edit]
Hello Dr Jones! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask one of our mentors. Enjoy! –Rpeh•T•C•E• 11:07, 9 November 2008 (EST)
You even put the Stub back. Wow.[edit]
And there's another issue I have noticed on this site: the automatic reverting of all IP edits, regardless of their merits. In this case you restored incorrect grammar and put the stub flag back on the article, even though the article is complete by the standards of most such Lore pages. How does not being logged in affect my ability to read the english language? 'Who's' means "who is" and nothing else. The possessive form is 'whose.' For your information, much of the article was an unattributed quote of a paragraph of the PGE, a horrendously biased source. This source is also annotated in its original form by a helpful reader who points out the bias. For this reason, I removed certain passages where the quotes were direct, retaining the information but removing words which were slanted. The last part you reverted was something that I wrote (I was logged in at the time, so no one instantly dismissed it as worthless) and had already been challenged as unclear. So I fixed my own edit for the sake of clarity. Nothing I added needed sources, as it was restating what was already in the article.71.244.115.216 20:18, 29 December 2008 (EST)
- The statement about all IP edits being reverted is just blatantly untrue, so forgive me if I take the rest of your post less than seriously. I put incorrect grammar, which was bad and I apologise, but I'd rather have an ungrammatical article with correctly-sourced information than a perfectly-phrased article with personal opinion. And if you want to be taken seriously, get an account. The very fact that you could identify my account and post a message on my talk page shows the advantage. As long as you decide to hide behind an IP you will not be taken seriously on this or any other wiki. Dr Jones 13:27, 30 December 2008 (EST)
- (edit) Oh and yes I put the stub tag back - because the article is still a stub. The fact that many articles of similar length is a fault with those articles, not my use of the stub tag in this case. Dr Jones 13:28, 30 December 2008 (EST)
Sorry/Thanks[edit]
Yeah, I'm sorry that you had to see someone like Daedryon during the first few days of being active. That doesn't happen too often. Anyways, I'm sure the Nephele, Rpeh, and Timenn appreciate your opinion, and I appreciate that you took it upon yourself to get involved in keeping the site clean. --Ratwar 20:07, 7 January 2009 (EST)
- Thank you. I wasn't sure whether I should have got involved or not but it seemed necessary at the time. In addition to Nephele, Rpeh and Timenn, you deserve a medal yourself for stepping up and blocking him. It's amazing how much nicer the site has been since! Dr Jones 16:33, 9 January 2009 (EST)
Sorry didnt see it[edit]
thanks for pointing that out dont worry ill stop..thanks again
Please Stop[edit]
Would you please find some constructive or productive way to contribute to the site? If you continue to insist on perpetuating unnecessary arguments and other activities that disrupt the community, I will be forced to issue an official warning. You are not an admin on the site, so it is not your responsibility to search out policy violations, and is definitely not appropriate for you to insist on calling a statement a policy violation even when everybody else in the discussion disagrees with you. Even if you were an admin, your current actions would be unacceptable, because nobody on the site is allowed to harass other community members. So, again, please move on to something productive, for example, something that is vaguely related to the Elder Scrolls, before more extreme measures are necessary. --NepheleTalk 20:14, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Would you please go back to doing whatever it is you do? Everybody has a right, and indeed a duty, to point out policy violations. If the administrators aren't doing it, then maybe we should get some new ones. I'm not harassing anybody - I'm pointing out a policy violation. Now get off your high horse and do your job. User Page[edit]
Hi Dr. Jones. I wanted to ask you to please remove the rather rude comments about other users that you've added to your user page. I know that you've recently been involved in a disagreement with some of these users, but such disagreements are not an excuse for making personal attacks. As explained by our policies, in particular the blocking policy, we do not tolerate personal attacks here. As the comments listed on your page are somewhat tame relative to some other things that have been said, I thought it more appropriate to ask you to remove them yourself so that we can avoid taking official action. Thanks for understanding. –Eshetalk 02:27, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry Doc but that's not good enough. We don't play games with personal insults. I've removed the "coded" insults from your user page. Please consider returning with a more respectful and civil attitude. --GKTalk2me 04:36, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Blocked without a warning? Violating your own blocking policy now? Dr Jones 04:39, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I could say that Eshe warned you (since she really did), or I could point out that from the blocking policy says the following:
- "Although this three-step process is the normal procedure, administrators have the authority to bypass one or more steps at their discretion."
- Have a pleasant week!--Ratwar 04:51, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
