Sidebar Alterations
I changed a couple corrections to the status of some conversations on the sidebar of the Community Portal. I think all of the discussions were marked as either "Active" or "Resolved". I changed a couple of them to "Inactive" as they aren't exactly resolved, but everyone has lost interest in them. --Aristeo | Talk 09:05, 20 December 2006 (EST)
- Fair enough. I'm still interested in bread crumbs at least, but I just don't have time to deal with it. "Inactive" seems accurate to me. --Wrye 13:53, 20 December 2006 (EST)

Morrowind Khajiit VS. Oblivion Khajiit
What ever happened to the way the Khajiit stood?! I thought that the way they stood in the Morrowind game was realistic! Although I know that if they kept that stance in the Oblivion game then they still wouldn't of been able to wear any shoes... but it was so cool!--Ichigo Girl 14:27, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- The Khajiit in Oblivion are of a different "breed." See the Lore:Khajiit article for more information about breed differences. --HMSVictoryTalk 14:37, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah, I already knew all that..... thanks though! But it was so realistic....--Ichigo Girl 14:44, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Oh!!! Do you think that they could make a mod like that?!--Ichigo Girl 14:46, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- I'm sure I've heard of one somewhere. You could Google it, or look it up on the Oblivion Mod Wiki, Planet Elder Scrolls or TesSource.net.
- Cool! Thanks!--Ichigo Girl 14:49, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Hey, I know this may seem sudden... but I was wondering, maybe we could help make an art-like section where we could all put really nice, or even really funny, pics from any of the Elder Scrolls games. Just a thought!--Ichigo Girl 14:55, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- This has already been discussed here, and, after several rounds of debate, we said no. By the way, what's up with "Ichigo Girl?" That's not your Username, so why do you sign with it? --HMSVictoryTalk 14:57, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- Oh... sorry about that, i guess i mistook that i could choose to make up some random thing! thanks for pointing that out!--Ichigo Girl 15:00, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- No, there's nothing wrong with it! It's just a little confusing, that's all. There isn't a specific rule that says you can't do that, it's just that nearly all users don't. --HMSVictoryTalk 15:02, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- I know!! Here ya go though!!! *smiles like a geek*--Ahnaz31 15:09, 15 April 2008 (EDT)
- I'm going to try and see if i can't go make my own mods.... if that's even possible for this darn computer... it's my grandma's and although that may have nothing to do with it, it's slower than honey!!! Then again, it is an ME Edition...--Ahnaz31 15:13, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

A Book Finished?
I really need to know if anyone needs help with anything before i start publishing my book and all the other things that usually takes my time.... thanks--Ahnaz31 14:51, 16 April 2008 (EDT)
Story?
How do I do the fan fiction thing? Do I just type it out on the computer, then just add it on to the pages at the fan fiction page? Also, I might need to see how well my grandma's computer here is doing before I can start putting in the pictures needed for some of the pages that need to be done (geez, that was long winded...).--Ahnaz31 13:27, 17 April 2008 (EDT)
- Do you mean to submit your story for the fan fiction competition? If so, check the Main Page ;) As to your Grandma, you might be on your own there XD --Benould•T•C 13:48, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

- If you're wanting to add your FanFiction to UESP, then yes, simply type it out either on- or off-line, make a page called
General:Your story's name
, and add a link from the page General:Fanfiction. Hope thats cleared it up. - Game LordTalk|Contribs 13:58, 17 April 2008 (EDT)- Thanks for all that! Also, I do have my own computer, and it is way more updated than hers... saddly enough, though, I still don't have the means to hook it up to the internet, yet!XP--Ahnaz31 14:04, 17 April 2008 (EDT)
- At this time I am using my own computer to finish up small stories and other related works...and at the same time am trying to put together this mod i have been working off and on with for weeks.... some of them only take me about a day to finish if it's just for fun, but this one is for the Oblivion game, and I'm trying to put some cat ears on my character..... yes it will be a neko (japanese for cat).--Ahnaz31 14:11, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

I think I have the right page....THANKS!!!
Just wanted to give a shout out to all the Editors (who don't screw the pages up), Patrolers and admin folks who make this site sensational. It's accurate, very helpful, layed out well and obviously generally adminstered to %99 of the time! The site has seriously contributed to my gaming experience with Oblivion and Elder Scrolls ( A fabtastic series on par with even the CIV. series, different but very in depth which I love,,,just like this site!). I also found out that many of the dutiful regular volunteers on the site are teenagers. I'm impressed! If there were "gossip" girls in Tamriel we'd have to send you all out as part of a new Dark Brotherhood quest to...dispose of them! In summary...you all kick ass! Well done and keep up the good work! Just Wondering
Just wondering if anyone thinks it would be good to add a "Tactics" page on different types of tactics for fighting in Oblivion, or if there is already one? --222.153.225.180 20:46, 13 January 2009 (EST)
MORROWIND vs OBLIVION
Hello,
I got an Amazon gift certificate, and have been playing alot of Morrowind lately - GREAT game. You already know that; should I get Oblivion? Will it ruin Morrowind for me? — Unsigned comment by Montezuma (talk • contribs) on 2 March 2009
- Nope. I play both games and still like them both. Graphics in Morrowind aren't as good as Oblivion, but they aren't exactly poor. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:05, 2 March 2009 (EST)
A modding thought
First of all, I wasn't entirely sure where best to post this, and the Bethdesa forums were fairly unhelpful, so I defaulted to the community portal here. Apologies if this is the wrong venue, I'm still somewhat new here.
That said, I'm somewhat curious at a thought. For a while I've been tempted by the idea of trying to implement Daggerfall and it's gameworld into Morrowind or Oblivion (probably the latter), as huge a task as that may be. Yet I've also heard tell of Bethdesa telling people off for translating the Morrowind world to Oblivion. Does anyone know if that's just trying to take the actual game data (the esps, etc) and put it in Oblivion, or if there is an actual bar to remakes and that sort of mod?
Cheers, Glenmorial 17:35, 18 May 2009 (EDT)
- Bethesda forums really are the right place for that sort of question. However:
- What you're suggesting is a very large task, hence (based on past experience), hence people will basically ignore you until you demonstrate that you can do something like that. Keep in mind that the mechanics of gameplay have simplified in successive versions of the game.
- Successive games have covered smaller areas, with less people and less complex game mechanics (disappearing attributes and skills, etc.). Hence, there's an innate limit on what you can do. (Although OBSE always opens up some possibilities.
- OTOH, the automatic Morrowind to Oblivion conversion tools are pretty impressive. But even there, the file formats are much closer, so difficulty was lower.
- A Daggerfall remake is a derivative work, which means that you would be violating Bethesda's copyright to make it. Now, would they allow it? Probably not, given that they've already banned: conversion of art assets from Morrowind for use with Oblivion; and discussion/use of the automatic morrowind conversion utilities on the official forums.
- Again, this is not really the place to have this discussion. Try the official forums -- but don't be surprised if you get very minimal response. --Wrye 21:36, 19 May 2009 (EDT)
- I did, but I didn't really get any response that was on-topic. I think you may have misunderstood me, though. I'm not interested in a straight port, or something along that lines rather, I've been toying with what I know about heightmap generation and such, to recreate the "map" or "game area" Daggerfall contains within itself in Oblivion. I know that explicit ports have been explicitly denied, but asking if it was okay to add the map and an area (even if I did something new with it), basically just got me "no, you're not allowed to port the games between one another" - which isn't quite what I'm looking to do.
- Thanks for the reply though, it was altogether much more helpful than the official forums.

Flesh Atronachs and Grummite discussion
Hey well before I get started I just want to say if I mess up in anything I say please comment and correct me. This is my first post so please bear with me.
Well Flesh Atronachs are Deadra(?Humans?) summoned by zealots of sheogorath, Deadric prince of madness. I did some in-game studying and i found that some people thought that these walking corpses were just that. So i studied them a little more closely with a custom Chameleon spell of mine and saw that these creatures are somewhat intelligent. I watched as two Atronachs in the same room began talking(well grunting, mumbling, and groaning)to each other. I didn't know to expect of this so I cast a custom spell at one to see how it reacted the creature was smart enough to come over to were I was standing and attacked(I moved from its reach) after a couple of seconds of doing that it returned to its original position. I tried this again on the other one but from behind a doorway and as the spell hit it I closed the door and watched as it opened it and started swinging. My final thing to say on this subject is If these Deadra are intelligent enough to do this than why does their soul level vary shouldn't their souls be NPC level???
Now onto the subject of Grummites. As everyone knows grummites are extremely intelligent creatures but I have met a few people(In-game and out) that do not agree. They say grummites are nothing but curious creatures that take what they can use from abandoned camps and towns. But that shows some logic in itself, why would they take tools that they could use, out of curiosity? They don't they take the tools and even make some of their own because they are intelligent. I can't tell you how many times i've walked in on a grummite ceremony of some kind whether its just me escaping jail as a rouge or studying them as a mage. It is also stated in any oblivion manual that they are at least, "semi-intelligent, tool making creatures ". And just like the Flesh Atronachs I have seen countless times of two Grummites communicating in some way. Also like the Atronachs I'm surprised their souls aren't NPC level.
Thanks for reading and again please post any comments regarding mistakes or more content.Tuva551 12:10, 18 June 2009 (EDT)
- While all of that may be true, this page explains that soul level has to do with how powerful the creature is, not its relative intelligence. –Eshetalk 12:50, 18 June 2009 (EDT)
Thank you for the input but Im talking about how similar they are to humans in the game.Tuva551 13:43, 19 June 2009 (EDT)
Reman Cyrodiil
Could someone create a page with a link to reman cyrodiil in gods:r? Searching for reman cyrodiil gives no results — Unsigned comment by 90.224.220.68 (talk) at 10:11 on 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I went ahead and made it; however if you had just search "Reman" it would have taken you there. --Elliot(T-C) 10:11, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Safe Chests
Is there a certain page on this website that lists all the non-respawning chests, I lost a lot of items in a respawning chest and I don't have anywhere to stash my loot except the floor for now. Mininuke10 03:40, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm working on that at the moment. In general, though, any sack is non-respawning. As a loose rule, if a container holds clutter, unless it's a sack, it probably respawns. There's no hard and fast rule, though; if there's a specific place you'd like to keep your things, I can tell you what respawns and what doesn't in that place. --GKTalk2me 03:47, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

morrowind armor duplicate
i dont want to add this myself but i found a way to duplicate armor on Morrowind for the Xbox i've only tested this on the GOTY but heres what i did : made a constant effect amulet with bound curias and equiped it then went out of the menu and back in , after unequiping the amulet and the curuas dissapeared it showed my char wearing the armor but it showed it as unequiped , so i saved and reload . once i got back in i had 2 of them , 1 equipped and 1 not , i dropped the unequipped and then the equiped and that made them stay ( while testing i found out that if u unequip it while the duplicate is in the list the copy will dissappear ). hope some 1 will add this , ty
i hope i dont end up breaking the page with this msg since i tend to break everything , if i did sry
