Tamriel Data:Ayleid Creatures
Tamriel Data includes a number of creatures found within the Ayleid ruins ubiquitous to Cyrodiil and also scattered across the fringes of southern Skyrim, southwestern Morrowind, northwestern Black Marsh and northern Valenwood.
For unique individuals within a particular species in Tamriel Rebuilt, Project Cyrodiil or Skyrim: Home of the Nords, please refer to the Creatures pages of those projects. This page lists species (and species variants) only.
Ayleid Sorcerer-King[edit]
Ayleid sorcerer-kings are high-level enemies that dwell in Ayleid ruins. They were the undisputed tyrants of old Ayleidoon. Their power was based on knowledge of the Dawn Magics and on pacts with the Daedric Princes, in which they would sacrifice thousands of slaves in return for strange and unsettling abilities. Their gifts warped the Sorcerers physically and mentally, until they were barely recognizable as mer: many Ayleid kings would deliberately change themselves to look more like birds, cultivating claw-shaped feet, beaks, and feather-like growths. Others went further, implanting rows of extra eyes, multiple limbs, or other strange perversions. Sorcerer-kings reside only in the deepest crypts of the grandest cities, where they rest in their live-bringing sarcophagi (the Ayleids, for all their power, never quite figured out a proper way to become a Lich).

Redeemed Keeper[edit]
Redeemed keepers are former Nedic slaves of the Ayleids whose lifespans have been unnaturally prolonged and their bodies altered beyond all recognition. Redeemed Keepers tend to paralyze intruders from a distance, while other denizens of the ruins finish off the unfortunate adventurer.
"Certain pacts were drawn in the later years of Ayleid civilization that forbade them from practicing necromancy. To bypass the rule, the Ayleids' greatest artificers and sorcerers collaborated to invent a kind of surgery to perform on their most favored slaves. The body was altered to prevent the soul from ever leaving in the first place. The surgery also made the slave's body incredibly strong and agile." - Bucynarel on redeemed servants

Redeemed Sentinel[edit]
Redeemed sentinels are guardians of Ayleid ruins, being former servants given an ageless form. They prefer to fight in melee, and will close into range before attacking with the sharp appendages on the ends of their arms.
"They say the Redeemed Servants who wander the halls of Ayleid ruins were once human, twisted and reshaped by their masters to fulfill some forgotten purpose for all eternity. If any spark of consciousness remains beneath their ceramic shells, no modern scholar has lived to see it." - Aryadora on little secret
