Carry Capacity

Race

The race information in the data DOES list the race as Elytra Nymph, not Frostbite Spider. Not sure if this changed at some point, but we should change it on the page. Jeancey (talk) 18:35, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

To confirm, looking in the Creation Kit I can see that both ccBGSSSE025_ElytraRace and ccBGSSSE025_ElytraRace_PET are named Elytra Nymph. These races are indeed the ones used by the various Elytra in-game. A lot of Frostbite Spider records are used in the Elytra Nymph's data, but the name of the race itself is Elytra Nymph. Naming species

Sorry, new to editing this Wiki (and the game - better late than never!), but I absolutely disagree that the "species" here - and at other pages - is "Elytra Nymph": that is completely wrong. The species is Elytra. The nymph is a life stage - like a caterpillar - of an insect, *not* its species. As the article itself states at the very start: "Elytra Nymphs are the juvenile forms of Elytra . . ."

I rest my case, m'lud.

To be fair we could, of course, work through the Wiki and wherever we see "Race" we change those who are humans to "Baby", Khajit to "Kitten", Argonians to "Hatchling" etc then I cannot sustain my objection. :) I am not bothered what the game program may say in its coding, I hope lack of zoological knowledge is not an excuse for maintaining an error. Actually it was confirmed yesterday via the Creation Kit that the name of the race is "Elytra Nymph" in Skyrim. The infobox is for game data, not lore information. Of course from an in-universe perspective you are correct, they are Elytra. This is already mentioned in the first sentence. —⁠Legoless (talk) 10:12, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Yep, saw that - which is why I wrote the above. But if the game data itself is in error then I shall just have to grin and bear (or cub) it.
