RPing a Court Wizard[edit]
In Oblivion there was a quest that wasn't particularly exciting, but which rendered a good result for anyone wanting to do some court mage living for a while. You could prove that the mage/wizard in Chorrol was a thief, and they then got kicked out of the city - leaving room for you to move in.
I was wondering, is there an equivalent in Skyrim? Either the opportunity to get rid of a particular mage, or a city which doesn't have one, but which does have a sensible place to put one - so a vacant position or a spare room, etc? - Listed in the notes section are the three Holds with no Court Wizards, Morthal, Falkreath, and Winterhold. It isn't possible to remove any wizards without killing them, but there is a quest for the one in Dawnstar which could be interpreted that way, and of course, maybe the dragin killed Farengar in The Fallen, maybe...
