Bug - sometimes after you complete The Eye of Magnus you will get two use-able Archmage's Robes.
Can anyone verify that this is the case? --—Daniellibus • Talk • E • C 13:41, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
Enchantment[edit]
What's the enchantment id of reduces all spell cost? i want to give it a 100% less to cast spells on a necklace by console enchanting — Unsigned comment by 11:11, July 20, 2012 (talk • contribs) on 83.83.177.98
- MagickaRateMult is the effect ID. If that doesn't work, you may want to try EnchArmorFortifyMagickaRateBase. There's some other specific IDs as well, but one of those two should work for you. Vely►t►e 15:57, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Skill Boost Query[edit]
Am I being really silly, but where does the game show the skill boots in effect? In Oblivion if you wore an item that boosted a skill, it was green in your skills screen - there's no difference when I'm wearing this.
Of course the downside to that was, in Oblivion, once you got to 100 because of the boost, you couldn't train skills anymore. So you had to go the final steps without the item equipped.
I'm just trying to work out whether this item is actually working and/or its impact on training skills.
- If an attribute is boosted, it appears green in the Skills menu. All active effects are in the Magic bar (where you choose the spell you want to cast) in the section Active Effects. Hope this helps. Eldubya (talk) 07:48, 2 June 2013 (GMT)
Ahzidal/Dukaan/Zahkriisos clipping issues[edit]
I noticed on xbox that whilst wearing one of these masks and the Archmage's Robes sometimes the hood of the mask and the hood of the robes would clip into one another. However, if you simply save and reload this problem is resolved. I didn't know if this was worthy of adding to the bugs section as it is a minor detail, or if it had been discussed elsewhere already. Second Version Available[edit]

Not true, I have both sets, one was awarded after Eye of Magnus quest, other was just laying on the table in Arch-mage's Quarters. — Unsigned comment by 188.187.23.242 (talk) at 17:31 on 20 August 2014 (GMT)
- Are you using the USKP? I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that re-adds the missing set to the game. – Robin Hood (talk) 23:01, 20 August 2014 (GMT)

- I confirm the availability of a hoodless Archmage's Robe while playing with USKP. It is indeed on a table in the Archmage's Quarters as seen here. -DesuEx — Unsigned comment by 189.6.165.63 (talk) at 14:11 on 5 February 2015 (GMT)
- I also can confirm that, with the USKP installed, the hoodless Archmage's Robe respawns. You need to steal it from the table in his quarters as :I did twice. I would venture to say the USKP team went out on a limb, as this is not a "fair play" outcome. Some of the USKP changes to :Skyrim's mechanics, including perk manipulation, are questionable to say the least,IMHO. MGSBoca (talk) 19:04, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Archmage's Robes + Circlet/Dragon Priest Mask "bug" shouldn't be a bug[edit]
I feel like this isn't a bug. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to put a circlet on and a hood on top. Maybe it was intentional for you to be able to put a circlet on while you're wearing the robes. It doesn't feel like this is a bug, and it definitely isn't something you should "fix". If it is a bug, it is a bug that makes the game feel more realistic, but at the same time, not too overpowered.--Brigmar (talk) 22:32, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- The hoodless version of the Archmage's Robes doesn't have a Magicka boost, but the Mage's Circlet can be worn with it. The hooded version includes a larger Magicka boost, but can't be worn with a circlet.Generilisk (talk) 06:10, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- The hoodless version is disabled without an unofficial patch, though. If this "bug" were unintentional, why would they have two different head slots at all? — Unsigned comment by 67.161.187.137 (talk) at 07:31 on 13 December 2017

- There are 4 body-armor slots in Skyrim. Most hooded robes use the body and head slot, and the ones that do not are totally random and have no commonality with which to claim that they were deliberately made this way. The issue with the circlet armor slot is also totally random on which items it pertains to. We are not the ones who made the "fix", it is from the USKP, though we recognize this as a clear bug.
