The Imperial Legion's last bastion before you take the battle to the capital

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Get your orders from Galmar Stone-Fist.
  2. Meet the Stormcloaks preparing for battle.
  3. Eliminate the Imperials.
  4. Return to Galmar.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Galmar Stone-Fist will order you to join the men preparing to attack Fort Hraggstad. When you reach the staging area, your fellow Stormcloaks will storm the fort. Your objective is to eliminate all the Imperial soldiers and your journal will track the percentage of completion. Wooden barricades will block the entrance to the fort—these are easily destroyed in a few hits.

After you have eliminated the Imperials, the quest will be complete and you will have to return to Galmar for the final assault on Solitude to liberate Skyrim from Empire control.

Notes[edit]

  • The bodies will disappear after a short time, so if you want to loot them move fast.
  • Not all the enemies are present at the start of the mission; more will spawn when certain numbers are killed.
  • The Imperial soldiers will occasionally drop one of the Divines' amulets (excluding Talos).
  • You will generally see surviving Imperial soldiers, even when your screen indicates they are all dead. It is not necessary to kill these to finish the quest.

Bugs[edit]

  • Stormcloaks and Imperials do not show up at Fort Hraggstad. A similar bug can happen at the other fort quests.
    • On PC Open the console and type setstage 00083042 10. This should force the Stormcloaks and Imperials to spawn.
    • Walking to the fort from the camp to avoid a load screen also seems to work.

  • The following empty quest stages were omitted from the table: 0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 910, 920, 950, 1000, 2000, 9200, 9999.
Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage CWFortSiegeFort stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest CWFortSiegeFort.
