Xivilai Ravagers are powerful Xivilai enemies encountered in City of Ash II. In the Maelstrom Arena, one of them serves as the boss of the Theater of Despair's third round.

Skills and Abilities

Standard

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack dealing low physical damage.

Dark Talons

The enemy calls forth talons from the ground, dealing minor flame damage and rooting anyone hit for 4 seconds. The player can roll dodge to escape the root.

Uppercut

A melee attack that deals moderate physical damage and knocks you back if it connects. This attack can be blocked to knock the enemy off balance.

Cleave

The ravager swings their weapon around, dealing minor physical damage to all enemies in front of them. This attack has no red cone indicator.

Negate Magic

The enemy creates a globe of magic suppression for 10 seconds, removing and preventing all player area of effect abilities from occurring in the area. Players within the globe will be silenced and pets/companions are stunned. Silence prevents players from using any ability costing Health, Magicka, Ultimate or have no cost at all as long as they are in the affected area.

Fire Chain

The enemy shoots a flaming spear at a faraway target, pulling them to him.

Pyrocasm

The enemy recoils upon themselves, indicated by a massive growing red circle which when fulls, detonates, dealing low flame damage and knocking down affected targets.

Maelstrom Arena Mini-Boss

Uppercut

The ravager strikes you fiercely with his greatsword, dealing high physical damage and knocking you back.

Volcanic Rune

The ravager tosses a blue-flame rune on the ground. If triggered, it deals high flame damage and you are launched high into the air then land on the ground for a moderate knockdown.

Chain Pull

The ravager pulls you to him with a fiery chain. This ability is often used after Volcanic Rune in an attempt to pull you into it.

Flame Breath

The ravager quickly breathes fire on you, dealing moderate flame damage and moderate flame damage over time.

Flame Burst

The ravager coils into himself before bursting out with flames, indicated by a large growing circular AoE, dealing high flame damage and staggering you.

Dialogue

When he appears in the Maelstrom Arena, he may shout:

"I shall cremate you before you die!"

"Burn, mortal. Burn!"
