Quest-Related Events

Arrive on the docks of Skywatch and you'll overhear Jakarn and the Seneschal in mid discussion:

Jakarn: "I appreciate your dedication to this uptight, surly demeanor, but I'm just here to deliver a medallion to Queen Ayrenn."

Seneschal Nomaadhel: "Be that as it may, a ruffian like you will not be allowed anywhere near our queen. I shall examine this medallion myself."

You can speak to him before telling Jakarn of the threat. If you have completed ^quest, Nomaadhel will say:

"Ah, now here is someone worth my time. You helped rid Skywatch of the Veiled Heritance, did you not?
I would ask you to speak with this uncouth ruffian. He does the Society of the Steadfast a disservice with his glib and scathing tongue."

Otherwise...

"Queen Ayrenn relies on me to sort through this kind of business in her stead. I take my job very seriously, you must understand."

Speak to Jakarn and Nomaadhel will overhear you:

Seneschal Nomaadhel: "Did you say evil magic? Dispel it! Dispel it this instant!"

Speaking with Nomaadhel before using the powder, he speculates if this another assassination attempt:

"How dare you deliver a dangerous relic to the Queen Ayrenn's court! If you have a way to rectify this situation, I demand you do so immediately!
I wonder, could this be connected to the other recent attempts on the queen's life?"

Dispel the effects on the medallion and Valessea will appear and a shocked Seneschal falls to the ground.

Guild Scholar Valessea: "My friends, I need your help!"

Seneschal Nomaadhel: "A projection? What is the meaning of this?"

Seneschal Nomaadhel can't take much more:

"First a pair of uncouth adventurers and now a magical projection. This is highly irregular. Highly irregular indeed!"

After speaking to Valessea, Nomaadhel will change his attitude:

"Did I hear Lady Arabelle's name? That changes things! I've met her a few times. Fascinating woman. If she's in danger, you must go to her. You can find a boat to Breton waters on the southern dock.
I'll make sure this medallion gets to Queen Ayrenn."
