Ree-Nakal

Ree-Nakal is an Argonian of the Ghost People Tribe who can be found within the Blight Bog Sump, where she performs experiments on failed eggs, attempting to create life from them. While her early experiments were failures, she has recently seen some success, though most would call them abominations—or the Hollow, which are pale, empty things.

When she finds it necessary, Ree-Nakal can put on a pleasant face, as she ingratiated her way into egg-minder Haxara's life by playing on her loneliness, using her as a source for Bright-Throat eggs.

Quest-Related Events

Ree-Nakal has been experimenting on stillborn Bright-Throat eggs using concoctions she has brewed by studying Black-Tongue serum recipes. The result is malformed, incomplete Saxhleel that aren't quite as alive or whole as they should be. Instead of coming out as small, normal hatchlings, the creatures Ree-Nakal has brought into the world are half or full-sized Argonians. As a result, most of her experiments are unstable and die quickly. These are the Hollow. Many dead and dying Hollow are strewn across the Blight Bog Sump. Ree-Nakal's experiments are detailed in her notes and progress reports.

However, there are three creations in particular that you will encounter leading up to Ree-Nakal. Argonians that are unusually colored and not quite as dead as their "failed" (as Ree-Nakal puts it) siblings: feral green male named Ojei and an orange male with fiery scales named Xul-Mot.

Finally, there is Krona: a great Argonian Behemoth and Ree-Nakal's finest creation. He is crouching beneath his mother's perch in the Audience Chamber, eating the corpses of his Hollow siblings.

When you enter Xuat-Matun - Audience Chamber Ree-Nakal will be waiting for you with Krona. She will proceed to taunt Haxara.

Ree-Nakal: "Haxara. You wanted to be here when they hatched so badly. Now's your chance.

Ree-Nakal: "I'm so close! Can't you see that? You can have your children!"

Haxara: "These were supposed to be our children!"

Haxara: "I don't deserve them!"

Ree-Nakal: "You never did. Kill them!"

When you kill Krona, Ree-Nakal falls from her perch on the ledge above him and dies.

Skills and Abilities

Poison Concoction

Ree-Nakal throws a poisonous green concoction at you during battle, applying a toxic dealing low continuous unavoidable poison damage. You must run to your ally's (either Haxara or Chukka-Saak) side and activate her synergy in order to purge it.

Explosive Reaction

If you run into Krona's orange Gaseous Fog while afflicted by Ree-Nakal's Poison Concoction, the green poison will react explosively with the fog, dealing moderate flame damage. Look for your ally's synergy to avoid being blown up by the unstable chemical reaction.
