Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
When you reach level six a new notice will appear on the noticeboard in Alinor. The notice states that master crafters are willing to share their knowledge about crafting for free, which will allow you to complete writs. Speak to Felarian outside the Plaza of the Hand in Alinor, who is willing to share his knowledge on Jewelry Crafting. Find him and commit to earning certification in Jewelry Crafting. (Alternatively, you can go straight to Felarian in Alinor upon reaching level six without picking up the notice.)
Felarian wants proof of your ability, so he tasks you to find some pewter dust, and return to him. An area just outside the city will be marked on your map, and there are several pewter seams in that area. Once you have mined them you will have at least twelve dust, two more than needed. Take them to Felarian. He asks you to refine them and then meet him back outside the plaza. Refine the dust and then speak to him again.
Next he asks you to make a pewter ring. Once you have created a ring of level 1 present it to him. Finally he asks you to destroy your new ring, or any other piece of jewelry you may have on you.
Notes[edit]
- It is possible to be certified immediately if you have already reached level 10 in Jewelry Crafting. You will have the option when speaking with him to say, "I already know the basics."
- Any pewter dust or ounces held in the bank will count towards the quest total. The collection stage can be skipped if you have enough dust already, while the refining stage is skipped completely (i.e. not even requested).
- Unlike the other Crafting Certification quests, Felarian does not move to the Jewelry Crafting Station after you first meet him. Instead he stays in the same place you first meet, requiring you to run back and forth several times during this quest.
Bugs[edit]
- Any white-quality unenchanted ring of any level found in the world (post-Summerset) will count towards completion of this quest, so you may not actually need to craft anything. ?

- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
