Cato Flamen can be heard frantically playing while Ithelia is wreaking havoc and the reality echoes are hovering. If you talk to him, he says:

"Keep playing. Just keep playing. They won't hurt you unless you stop the music.
I don't know why I believe that. But I haven't stopped for a moment and I'm still safe."

After you helped Ithelia gain control of her powers and restore reality to the inn, he hopes to get paid for the performances:

"Oh, thank you so much. My hands cramped from all the strumming. Now the weird things are gone and I can take a break.
Maybe I can charge Brynmir for all that music."
