Speaking with him before Shor's Stand joins the Stirk Alliance:

"Did you hear what that stranger from the mainland said in the square? That our peaceful island is crawling with evil necromancers?
I'm not sure what's worse. Dark sorcerers or the foul beast that prowls the village's edge."

"A servant's work in the Hall of Feathers never ends. In truth, I prefer it that way. What use would I have for a moment of leisure or to sleep? Who would tend to the hall, keep it clean, or pour the mead?
No, no. It's better to be busy, I say."

After the completion of The Stubbornness of Nords:

"Is it true? Did you and the pretty stranger from the mainland catch the foul beast? And now the halls of Shor's Stand are going to join your war against the evil necromancers?
I am not sure how I feel about all these changes."

"As grateful as I am that you dealt with the foul beast that stalked our village, it doesn't change the fact that I still have work to do around here.
