In many parts of Tamriel, black bears are smaller than their brown or white cousins. Not so the black bears of High Rock, which are among the largest seen anywhere.

Bearclaw Mine

The Bearclaw Mine is a mine on the far east of Stormhaven, north-northwest of the Weeping Giant Wayshrine containing bandits. An unfinished letter can be found at the entrance to the mine. Followers of Vaermina seem to have an interest of the mine, according to the orders found deeper inside the cave. A partly destroyed book and a final note can be found farther in the cave, telling about the sad fate of a miner's family. Killing bandits will sometimes free peasant miners.
