- You can enter this mine before the related quest but door H will be locked (key required).
- This mine contains 5 Cairn Bolete plants and 39 Wisp Stalk plants.

Zone 1: Desolate Mine[edit]
After initiating the related quest, you will meet the three Fighters Guild members Brag gro-Bharg, Elidor, and Rienna around a campfire (C). There is a hallway to your right, but it leads to a locked door (H) which can only be unlocked with the Mine Key. The three fighters each possess the key and will unlock the gate when the goblin hunting starts. You can always pickpocket them and unlock the gate anyway.
When the fight starts, stick around the three fighters. Try to protect them, because if all of them survive you will get a much greater reward. Beware of the Falling Log trap at D, because the trap is lethal to the fighters. You might want to reach it first and spring the trap by breaking the tripwire (E) to protect your guildmates.
If the door at H is unlocked, head into the southwestern tunnel at the end of the hallway, as the northeastern one leads to a dead end. In the next room you will find two goblins and a minor loot chest. From here you have two options, though both will eventually take you in a full loop. Take the southern tunnel for now, battling past another goblin and looting a chest as you go along. After dodging the Swinging Mace trap at F, in the next room you will come up against the boss-level Savage Goblin (A) and another regular goblin. In this room and adjacent ones are three minor loot chests. Continue along the tunnels, taking care to avoid triggering the Falling Log trap at D, until you reach a room with three more goblins and a minor loot chest. To the northeast is a small room with two goblins and a minor loot chest, while the southeastern tunnel takes you back to the start.
