Confirmed Hollow City[edit]
So Lawrence confirmed on reddit that Delodiil is indeed the Hollow City. Timeline wierdness aside, is this justification enough to combine the two pages? —Legoless (talk) 00:51, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. I can't remember our justification for thinking they were different cities anyway; is there something in the Fighters Guild questline saying that Abagarlas and Delodiil existed at "the height of Ayleid rule"? The only reference for that statement on Abagarlas is The Whithering of Delodiil, which doesn't actually contain any dates. I think it could easily be the case that Delodiil and Abagarlas were two of the leftover Ayleid city states from the "Late Ayleid Period". --Enodoc (talk) 08:35, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- Well, there are a few things that don't add up. As the article says, the Hollow City was taken to Coldharbour during the time of King Laloriaran Dynar, sometime after the Battle of Glenumbra Moors. According to The Whithering..., the war between Abagarlas and Delodiil happened shortly before the city was taken away, with King Anumaril's forces literally arriving at the empty site of the city. It is very unlikely there would be inhabited Ayleid cities and warring Ayleid armies in the late 400s, after the Alessian pogroms. That being said, if Schick says they're the same, then they are, no matter if it works or not. The discrepancies could still be noted somewhere, though. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 12:19, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- It almost works already. Do you remember the source that says the Hollow City was taken to Coldharbour after the Battle of Glenumbra Moors? It's possible that Abagarlas and Delodiil were a couple of holdouts like Nenalata, but they shouldn't have survived past the latter's collapse in 1E 374, and the battle was 1E 482. --Enodoc (talk) 14:01, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- It's simple: the Hollow City was transported along with King Dynar (according to the Groundskeeper / Meridia), who then stayed in Coldharbour until the Vestige released him. King Dynar was also a general for the Direnni during the battle, so the battle must have happened before. King Dynar's journal gives more precise dates, although it also states that he returned to Nenalata instead of going to the Hollow City or Delodiil. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 14:13, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- Okay thanks, so the specific discrepancy is in the Groundskeeper's dialogue. Depending on her wording (I'll look through the data for it), maybe it's open for reinterpretation, or maybe she's just lying and he left the city before it was moved from Cyrodiil. The alternative is that the Alessians left Abagarlas and Delodiil alone after sacking Nenalata, but that seems less likely. --Enodoc (talk) 14:56, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- You actually see a vision of King Dynar during the intro monologue. It's definitely an issue with Dynar's chronology rather than Delodiil's though. —Legoless (talk) 15:56, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

- You see a vision, presumably one created by Meridia, so not necessarily what actually happened Hunts-for-Wisdom (talk) 11:04, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

(←) Mzeneldt was a ruin already. And The Battle of Red Mountain happened 1E 700. Uberionbn (talk) 14:08, 27 April 2018 (UTC)
Location in Cyrodiil?[edit]
The page says that it was originally close to Abagarlas, but this map of all Ayleid ruins on Tamriel ([1]) shows that Abagarlas is close to the Imperial Island, to the east, at that. The page also says that in Remanada, Delodiil is said to have been located somewhere in Colovia, which is where Skingrad is, though the region goes further to the west/ north-west. It doesn't add up.--87.255.89.160 22:24, 24 December 2019 (GMT)
