Kyrnil Long-Nose was a Harbinger of the Companions in the Second Era. He was among the notable Harbingers recorded by Swyk the Long-Sighted. He is acreddited with restoring the honor of the Companions after the dark periods of the Second Era.[1][2]

History[edit]

Jorrvaskr, the mead hall of the Companions.

After the disappearance of Macke of the Piercing Eyes, the Companions entered a dark period.[1][2] A string of false and dishonorable Harbingers laid claim to Jorrvaskr,[1] leaving it corrupted.[2] Intent on restoring honor to the faction, Kyrnil gathered the true hearts of the Companions in the wilds of Skyrim and stormed Jorrvaskr. The attack was successful, killing the usurpers and returning the old way of honor through blood.[1]

Kyrnil began the tradition of keeping a group of trusted advisors called the Circle, named after Ysgramor's Circle of Captains. They served to set examples to the newer, younger Companions.[1] Kyrnil ensured that notions of honor could have an unbroken string of tradition, steadying the course of the Companions back to the destiny of Ysgramor's.[1]
