House Vien is a Breton noble house that served as one of the four criminal cartels known collectively as the "Merchant Lords" that supplanted royal power in Abah's Landing in Hew's Bane by the mid-Second Era.[1][2] House Vien rose to prominence after Lady Felice Vien came to the region from Wayrest after allegedly murdering her husband. Using her wealth, she purchased properties and established a tavern that also functioned as a brothel and a front for other illicit activities. House Vien's clientele include pirates, merchants, and nobles. By 2E 542, the house was led by Lady Ylanie Montaine.[3]
