Vateshran Allaghach
Race Reachman Gender Unknown
Resided in The Reach

Vateshran Allaghach was a known historian and storyteller among the Reachfolk.[1] Little is known about their life, but they were devoted to spreading the tales of the Dawn of Karth, emphasizing the importance of trials, suffering, bitterness, and pain. They lived before 2E 582. A quote underscoring the significance of hardships and struggle, and mentioning a matronly crone descending from the mountains to impart these revelations was credited to them.[2]

Quotes[edit]

  • "A matronly crone came down from the mountains, feather-winged and ever-shrouded. She delivered a message straight from the Dawn of Karth. The blood of Men will spill upon the soil, for their trials must be lived in bitterness and pain."[2]

Notes[edit]

  • The Infinite Archive's keepers held great reverence for the oral traditions of Bosmeri Spinners and Reachfolk Vateshrans, yet they refrained from storing these traditions directly. Instead, they were only documented in the archive when transcribed by external parties or presented as observational writings from scholars, or notes designed to aid performers in optimizing their acts. However, this indirect approach often led to a loss in the translation process, rendering these traditions more obscure in the eyes of Hermaeus Mora's archive.[3] Sagas of Allaghach were among these oral texts.[UOL 1]
