Emergency Preservation Effort[edit]
Setting aside any politicality around the current situation with Twitter and its owners, based on the current chatter going around it looks like the website may be abandoned by the games industry and its individual developers; Emil Pagliarulo himself has deleted his account and moved to Bluesky (but we already had everything relevant to Elder Scrolls preserved on his posts page luckily).
We should really set about preserving as many materials as possible in preparation for any account purges to come in the future. I've made a list here of all the official TES relevant accounts that ought to be combed for these materials. --TheRockWithAMedicineCupOnHisHead (talk) 15:40, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
Bluesky posts[edit]
As stated above, setting aside any political aspects of the current situation with Twitter, I think Bluesky posts should be added here too. Firstly, Bluesky is essentially a "Twitter alternative." Secondly, if it is agreed that Bluesky posts are allowed on this article then the current article name, "Twitter Archive," should be updated to reflect that it now includes posts from more than one platform. A lot of new artwork is not only being posted on Bluesky, but uploads on this site are also being linked there. Take these posts for example https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Category:General-Bluesky_Images And don’t even get me started on how Twitter isn’t even called Twitter anymore. --KevinM (talk) 16:16, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- Very sensible suggestion. Any idea on the new name of the article? --Ilaro (talk) 17:47, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- Putting "The Elder Scrolls" in front is a bit superfluous and makes it take longer to find, I think keeping it simple to just "Social Media Archive" or "Microblogging Archive" (given that Twitter and Bluesky are both microblogging social media services) would be better The Rim of the Sky (talk) 19:55, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
