Vir2L Studios is a sister company to Bethesda Softworks and a subsidiary of Zenimax Media Incorporated, Vir2L Studios is a design firm specializing in cross-platform entertainment aimed at multiple devices including PCs and handheld devices such as the Nintendo DS and mobile phones. It is headquartered in the technology corridor outside Washington DC. The subsidiary has been inactive in games development since late 2010, though Douglas Frederick of ZeniMax has been credited on most Bethesda Softworks published games as "President of Vir2L Studios" since that time, including The Elder Scrolls Online, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, and The Elder Scrolls: Blades.
