Life-giving energies flow through the eerie lands on the other side of the portal, sustaining the creatures there in unnatural ways. All enemies will regenerate health in a manner akin to that of trolls.

Walkthrough

Before you begin, be aware that all enemies will be weak to cleaving and fire damage, and regenerate health extremely quickly. While the quest recommends using fire damage, this is not essential.

You will begin in a path through a forested area. Several breakable objects will spawn throughout. Follow it until you reach a giant spider, which you cannot evade. Once you have dispatched it, continue down the path until you reach a gate. Two more giant spiders patrol just beyond, and food and breakable objects are strewn about the area. These two spiders can be avoided, but another guarding the next gate cannot.

Just left of the gate is a path leading to an optional boss giant spider who guards a silver chest. This encounter is fully avoidable, but the spider must be fought to access the chest.

Continue through the gate and down the stairs. At the bottom, a spriggan guards a path. Small breakable objects continue to spawn in this area. The path proceeds until another set of stairs leading down, with another Spriggan guarding them. At the bottom is a clearing, patrolled by a Spriggan enemy with a troll boss standing centrally. Small breakable objects dot the perimeter. While you must fight the troll to complete the event, the spriggan can be totally avoided.
