Raaslan was a Redguard bandit and a member of the Blades who died at Cloud Ruler Temple during the Great War. He is currently a ghost roaming the ruins of the temple, unaware of his own demise.
When entering in the abandoned temple's Great Hall, you will be greeted by Raaslan's disembodied voice, which will then guide you through the quest The Way Home. Once you have collected all of the katanas from the skeletons of his fellow Blades and placed them in the fireplace, Raaslan will thank you for setting them free and gift you Glenroy's empowered katana, now infused with his own soul. He then disappears into the void with his companions.
Raaslan wears Blades armor, gauntlets and boots, and is armed with a Blades sword and shield. His skeleton can be found in the temple's armory with his katana still nearby.

Quest-Related Events[edit]
When first entering Cloud Ruler Temple's Great Hall, you will hear Raaslan's disembodied voice warning you:
- "You, there! This is a warzone! What are you doing here? Fine. If you won't leave... go. Find Alina. Tell her we need her at the front - immediately!"
This will start The Way Home, which will see you discovering the remains of various other Blades in the Temple. Once you've found Alina's skeleton, Raaslan will say:
- "Wait. Alina... she's... dead? I..."
Depending on what kind of weapon you're holding, he will then say:
- "You'll have to hold my rear, but you'll stand no chance with that weapon. Grab one of the old consecrated blades - Glenroy's should do - from the Armory."
- "You'll have to hold my rear, but you'll stand no chance with that weapon, even if it is an Akaviri katana. Grab one of the old consecrated blades - Glenroy's should do - from the Armory."
- "You'll have to hold my rear. And I see you found Glenroy's blade already. It is an ancient and revered weapon to our order."
Either way he concludes with:
- "Meet me in the West Wing with Glenroy's blade, and we'll make our final stand."
Once you enter the West Wing, Raaslan will finally appear in ethereal form. His next line will depend on whether you are holding Glenroy's blade or not:
- "You're here. And you're wielding Glenroy's blade. Excellent. His is an ancient and revered weapon. Carry it proudly."
- "You're here. But why are you not wielding Glenroy's blade? His is an ancient and revered weapon. You dishonor our order by spurning it."
After this he'll continue:
- "All right. Let's go!"
As soon as you come across Corvon's remains, he will cry:
- "Dead. He's... dead. And the... roof... rubble. I..."
At this point he will turn to you:
- "Corvon is dead. Alina is dead. They're all... dead. And the roof... Is this it? Have we lost the fight?"
- Tell me, what happened here?
- "I... the Dominion. They're marching on Cyrodiil. The false Emperor is doing nothing to defend us. And now they're laying siege to the temple. They set up siege weapons - catapults, trebuchets. Their battlemages rain fire down on us from above. They've broken through the front lines and are closing in. All is nearly lost. And if Alina and Corvon have fallen..."
Either way, he will say:
- "Then Cloud Ruler Temple is lost. The Blades are broken. My order is no more, as am I. Thank you for showing me the truth, friend. You've spared me endless torment, though I fear that the truth isn't much more comforting. Meet me back in the Great Hall. There are rites to perform. Perhaps, then, I'll be able to feel Arkay's embrace at last."
Return to the Great Hall and you will find the three Blades kneeling in front of the hearth, ready. Raaslan will explain:
- "The time has come, friend. Place our blades into the fire. Release our spirits. Grant us rest in Aetherius."
If you put his sword in the fire before both of the others, he will say:
- "Thank you, my friend. Free the others, and then we will speak one final time."
Once the others have left, he will depart with:
- "Thank you, my friend. Now, let us speak. You have freed us, friend. You have my eternal thanks. You may keep Glenroy's blade. My soul will empower it. It is an ancient artifact of our order - but our order is broken. Use it to uphold our legacy."
