Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Armas Tyravel in Arvud's Uvayn Manor about vampires.
2. Travel to Ishanuran Camp west of Arvud and ask Yan-Ahhe about vampires and Malawius.
3. Trek to Malawius Camp and speak to Kashshaptu inside.
4. Either:
   1. Kill Kashshaptu and her cohort.
   2. (Optional) Speak to Yan-Ahhe again for the Ishanuran Luck Charm.
   3. Return to Armas Tyravel (ends quest, rewards 500 gold).
5. Or:
   1. Accept Kashshaptu's proposal.
   2. Kill Hinammu Eraishah within Seris.
   3. Return to Kashshaptu and either:
      1. Reject the offer of vampirism (begins hostilities - see "Kill Kashshaptu and her cohort" above).
      2. Accept the vampiric curse.

Notes

• This quest can also be begun by speaking to Kashshaptu directly, with no need to go via Armas or Yan-Ahhe.
• If you have already killed Kashshaptu and her companions before beginning this quest, you can still speak to Armas for 500 gold.
• If you cure your infection before becoming a vampire, and talk to Kashshaptu after three days have passed, her and her companions will turn hostile.
• You will not be able to collect a reward from Armas Tyravel if you killed the vampires after beginning the first Baluath quest, Hunting the Hunter.

10		Armas Tyravel, who works for the governor of Arvud, is offering a large reward to anyone who can root out the group of vampires he believes responsible for killings in the western ashlands. He recommended that I ask in Ishanuran camp if I'm willing to track them down.
20		I have spoken with the wise woman of the Ishanuran. From what I've gathered, the local vampires known as the Baluath may have targeted a small Ashlander camp west-northwest of here, below Mount Annu. The Malawius tribe there has gone silent.
30		I encountered a group of three vampires in a cave beneath a yurt in the western Armun Ashlands. Upon seeing me, they attacked me.
40		I encountered a group of three vampires in a cave beneath a yurt in the western Armun Ashlands. The apparent leader wishes for me to approach them.
60		Kashshaptu offered to infect me with the Baluath strain of vampirism. In order to receive her gift, I have to find and kill Hinammu Eraishah, the last remnant of the Malawius ashlander tribe. According to Kashshaptu, he was last seen in the cavern called Seris, southwest of the camp and east of the ruins of Balititashpi.
65		I killed Hinammu Eraishah, the last remnant of the Malawius ashlander tribe.
70		I returned to Kashshaptu after killing Hinammu Eraishah. She infected me with the curse of vampirism and told me to return in three days and speak with her again.
80		All of the vampires at Malawius camp are dead.
100	Finishes quest	After introducing me to the background of the clan and its current situation, Kashshaptu allowed me to join their fold.
200	Finishes quest	I reported the deaths of the vampires at Malawius camp to Armas Tyravel.

200		I reported my encounter with the Baluath to Yan-Ahhe at Ishanuran camp. She gave me a luck charm to honor and protect me.
