Dialogue[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Ah, %PCName, I may have some chores for you."
- Background:
- "I am %Name, Mouth of the benevolent Master Mithras."
- chores:
- "Master Mithras has commissioned a census of Ranyon-ruhn."
- "I have no chores for you now, but if you return in a few days, I may have something for you."
- "I need you to deal with an offense to the Temple in Ranyon-ruhn."
- "I have no chores for you, %PCName. Talk with the other Mouths, or with my Master, if you want further duties."
If you are Master rank or higher:
- "I would not consider giving you any chores, %PCRank. Your time is far too valuable to spend on such matters."
- Council:
- "I sit on the council, and represent my lord Master Mithras in official matters."
- Master Mithras:
- "My master rules over Tel Aranyon and the nearby town of Ranyon-ruhn. He is sometimes criticised for devoting too much time to his subjects, but nonetheless, he is skilled in the arcane arts."
- Telvanni Mouths:
- "I am the Mouth of Master Mithras of Tel Aranyon. The other Mouths are Malvas Relvani, who speaks for Archmagister Rilvin Dral, Areth Morvayn for Mistress Rathra, Fervas Shulisa for Mistress Eldale, Nethan Marys for Mistress Faruna, and Norahin Darys for Master Vaerin."
House Telvanni: Census in Ranyon-ruhn[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Have you helped that foolish retainer deal with the census, %PCName?"
- census:
- "My Master has decided that it has been too long since he last held accurate records about his subjects in Ranyon-ruhn. To ensure fair taxing for their benefit, he asked me to conduct a census of the Ranyon-ruhn populace. The census is a foreign custom, however, so I assigned one of my Imperial retainers to the task. However, that fool is now more than a week behind schedule, and I demand results. Go to Ranyon-ruhn, and find Cartil Florius, the wayward retainer."
- "Have you been able to find Cartil Florius, and discover why he is wasting my precious time?"
- "So, you found Cartil. Why did you not help him complete the census? Get back to Ranyon-ruhn and help him complete his task! [Nevrile sighs] Sometimes I wonder why we do not employ stricter standards for our induction." (Disposition down by 5)
- "Ah, so this is the census of Ranyon-ruhn? Excellent work, %PCName. I believe some reward is in order. What was it, exactly, that delayed Cartil from delivering the census himself?" (Disposition up by 5, removed Census Record from your inventory, and you receive 50 gold)
- That fool spent days trying to speak with a racist Dunmer, rather than just consult his neighbors.: "That incompentent bufoon! I really must consult with the Council about raising our entry standards, and I'll have Cartil expelled from House Telvanni immediately. I will not tolerate such fools."
-
- [Lie] I rescued him from a cave where he had been trapped by bandits.: "Could the man not handle a few peasant bandits? I really must consult with the Council about raising our entry standards, and will have Cartil scheduled for extra lessons with his tutors. I thank you for getting me the census report anyway, %PCName."
- "You delivered the census, %PCName."
If you made Cartil deliver the census to Nevrile himself:
- "Ah, %PCName. I received the census from Cartil Florius, and promptly discharged him from service to House Telvanni. I hope you understand that efficiency is something we Telvanni value greatly in our servants. I thank you for letting me deal with Cartil's failure, rather than protect him." (Disposition up by 5, and you receive 50 gold)
If Cartil is dead:
- "What? Cartil is dead?! Foolish whelp! I have no further use for you." Goodbye (Disposition down by 10)
- "You failed me, %PCName." Goodbye
House Telvanni: Peacemaker[edit]
- Greeting:
- "Have you dealt with the offense to the Temple in Ranyon-ruhn, %PCName?"
- chores:
- "Have you settled the offense to the Temple, %PCRank?"
- offense to the Temple:
- "Yes. Master Mithras has sent word of a recent disturbance in Ranyon-ruhn. Apparently, one of his subjects spat at Ratagos, the local Temple priest. Although we Telvanni do not hold much love for the Temple, my Master likes to keep his town respectful and orderly. To that end, I want you to go to Ranyon-ruhn, find the perpetrator and make him apologize to Ratagos. In addition, he should pay a small fine that you should use to compensate Ratagos."
- "Have you dealt with the problem?"
- "You made the perpetrator apologize to Ratagos? Excellent work, %PCRank. Here, take this ring as a reward." (Disposition up by 10, and you receive a Ring of Ostros' Knack)
- "You dealt with that issue, %PCName."
If you paid the fine yourself:
- "You paid Ratagos's compensation yourself? You did well, %PCName, and I am sure my Master will appreciate your act, but be warned that others in our House might look upon such 'benevolence' as weakness. Here, take this ring as a reward." (Disposition up by 10, and you receive a Ring of Ostros' Knack)
