Geroth Enlaris

Geroth Enlaris is a Dark Elf enchanter with a shop in Alt Bosara. He has long been at odds with his overly religious family back in Almalexia, and came to Telvanni territory to become an enchanter. However, the past is hard to shake off, as a preacher has arrived in town and become quite a bother. Geroth will ask you to make him leave before he earns the ire of Master Vaerin, who despises the Temple.

He wears a Flameeater robe, a ring of Wildfire, a common shirt, a pair of common pants, a common belt, and a common amulet. He wields a glass jinkblade, and carries 6 gold and most of the wares that he stocks in his shop.

Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows the following spells: Daedric Bite, Firebloom, Frostbloom, Shockbite, and Vivec's Wrath.

Miscellaneous[edit]

Dialogue[edit]

  • Greeting:
"Hello there %PCRace, I am Geroth Enlaris. Are you in need of an enchanter?"
  • Alt Bosara:
"Alt Bosara is a fine enough town. Too bad there isn't really a great need for enchanting services here. If a spot were to open up in a place where I'd have more work, I'd take it."
  • Background:
"You know that person who grows up vowing never to become like his parents? Well that's pretty much me. %Name. I grew up in Almalexia, child of the most pious parents you can imagine. They forced me to read religious texts over and over again: Saryoni's Sermons, The Pilgrim's Path, Lives of the Saints; all books I sadly still know by heart."
  • Continue: "So, when the opportunity arose, I left Almalexia to pursue my dream of becoming the greatest sorcerer of all time. But it turned out that enchanting was the only real sorcerer's skill I have, so I ditched my grand ambitions and became an enchanter. I did some traveling to learn from various other enchanters, and eventually I ended up in Alt Bosara."
"From what I've heard it is the decapitated head of a dragon turned to stone after losing its child in an epic battle with an unnamed sorceress. I might be getting my information mixed up, though."

You Can't Choose Your Family[edit]

  • cease his preaching:
"Somebody must, before the guards get sick of him."
"Please hurry, before the guards get sick of him."
"So he wants the ring? Pah. Well he can have it. I'm doing just fine here. There is just one little problem... I lost the ring in a bet with Favana Selethi. Heheh. I still owe her some money... err, would you be so kind as to buy the ring in my name and give it to my brother, %PCName?" (You receive 75 gold)
"Please get the ring quickly, %PCName."
"Thank you for making my brother leave, %PCName. Take these scrolls as a token of my gratitude." (You receive 2 Scrolls of Elemental Burst: Shock, 2 Scrolls of Almsivi Intervention, and a Scroll of Lesser Domination)
"Thank you again for making my brother leave town."

If Felmo Enlaris is dead:

"I didn't want him to die."
  • Felmo Enlaris:
"He is my brother. I suppose he has come here to draw me back into the Temple and my family. He has not spoken to me yet, though. If he continues preaching like this it might end badly. %PCName, would you mind persuading him to cease his preaching?"
  • Sure, I'll talk to him.: "Thank you. You will be rewarded, %PCName." (Disposition up by 5)
  • No, I can't help you.: "Then I shall have to seek him out myself." (Disposition down by 5)
"He is my brother, %PCName. Would you mind persuading him to leave?" (See choices above)
"He's my brother, %PCName. And I've never been particularly keen on family reunions."

If Felmo Enlaris is dead:

"He was my brother. I still can't believe he's gone."
