Spell Merchants?[edit]

Are there spell merchants in Skyrim? I was under the impression that spells were sold in tome form. --Legoless 23:22, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

I've seen spell merchants mentioned somewhere (manual?). --NepheleTalk 01:38, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Well, Faralda at the entrance to Winterhold College just sold me Conjure Flame Atronach for 30 gold, without going through a tome. But it was quest related. --Alfwyn 04:07, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
Aside from Faralda, I haven't found anyone who directly sells spells like they did in Oblivion. The page lists the court wizard at Whiterun, but he doesn't sell spells; he sells spell tomes. --QuillanTalk 14:22, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Would Lucan count since he does have a few spell books for sale, after asked about them? Metricjester 22:32, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Should this page be removed?[edit]

So I'm playing through on PS3 and I can't find any "Spell Merchants". The NPCs listed on this page sell spell tomes but I haven't seen any "Spell Merchants"...just like all the other comments about "Spell Merchants" on the talk page. So, including me then that makes 6 people who cannot find a "Spell Merchant" in the game and it makes 0 people that have found a "Spell Merchant". If anyone, on any platform, has found a "Spell Merchant" then please confirm there is one in the game. Otherwise this page should be deleted or merged with the "Spell Tomes" or "Magic Overview" page.

That seems unnecessarily pedantic to me. I guess it could be renamed "Spell Tome Merchants" if it's really a big deal. 124.170.15.129 17:50, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
