Suroniir is a High Elf master animal handler from the conservatory at Sil-Var-Woad. He recently purchased Tulip the glyptodon from a Khajiit merchant, and is trying to get her to learn some tricks. He is seen during a random encounter in Southern Elsweyr.
Dialogue[edit]
When you approach, you may hear his attempts to command Tulip.
- Suroniir: "Fetch, Tulip! Come on! You don't even have to run. Take your precious time."
- Suroniir: "Beg, Tulip! Beg! I'm begging, you can too!"
- Suroniir: "Tulip! Shake! Shake. Come now. Shake! You're already bobbing up and down so you're halfway there."
- Suroniir: "Play dead, Tulip! Play dead, girl! It's only pretend."
- Suroniir: "Sit, Tulip. Sit! It is possible for you to sit shaped like that, isn't it?"
- Suroniir: "Please, Tulip. You're making me look bad in front of the stranger."
- Suroniir: "Come, Tulip! Roll over! I'll even give you a nudge if it's helpful."
If you speak with him, he'll tell you about his purchase.
- "This creature is either as willful as she is intelligent or as lazy as she is stupid. Either way, I can't get her to obey a single command."
- "By the divines, will this beast do nothing beyond bobbling and heavy breathing?"
- "No beast can resist my masterful tutelage for long. I stake the reputation of all of Sil-Var-Woad's handlers on it—I will not rest until this stubborn creature does something cute on command!"
- What are you doing?
- "I'm attempting to get Tulip to perform a basic trick. It should be a trivial task for a master handler from Summerset's Sil-Var-Woad park.
The Khajiit who sold her to me spoke highly of her intelligence, but it appears that the trick is on me."
