I never saw clouds as dark as these. Or heard the wind howl so loudly. Coxswain Belvild says there's no avoiding this storm. If we don't sail fast enough, we're dead. If this contract falls through, I'm as good as dead. If I make a bad decision, the crew will turn on me and I'll be dead. Cheery thoughts, I know.

I have a plan. A way to make it to shore and fulfill the contract. These volcanic pearls will have more luck staying intact in the sea than they will aboard a rolling ship. Once we make it to the northwestern side of the island and the village of Shor's Stand, I'll send my crew after them. If they make it to land, we'll find them. Or, if someone else finds them first, bring the pearls to us. We know how to strike a bargain that's worth your while.
