It's been a month. I've not heard word from our conspiring cousins in the manor. My scouts report no movement from the outside. No couriers. Nothing.
I believe that our cousins' attempt to kill Valendir may have ended in a stalemate. We both know how dangerous he is or, hopefully, was. It would be an unfortunate fate for those involved, but really, it could be the most bloodless and beneficial outcome for the rest of our clan.
Our next order of business is to enter the manor and scourge it of Valendir's work and research. Then, we can secure the family's fortune and disperse it among our clanmates.
We all have our gifts, and I grant that yours lies in combat. I defer right of first entry to you and the kin of your choosing. Dispel any traps you may find and eliminate any undead that wander there still. (Yes, even the skeletal servants. They are more practical in every way, but we must remember that we have chosen to forsake necromancy in every form.)
We must act quickly, in case the lizard-folk discern that the manor is abandoned and try to take what is rightfully ours. I will follow shortly with a company of laborers and priests. Together, we will ensure that Meridia's cleansing light burns our cousin's necromantic devotion from the darkest corners of Corelanya Manor.
May our Three Queens watch over you.
Your cousin,
Ilhidel of Clan Corelanya
