Dialogue

Grash can be seen sitting on the stone fence outside of the Mages Guild's tent. She will complain to you about the ongoing conflict.

"I hate this nonsense between the Duke and those Redguards.
I need a book from my room, but Master Curmalen insists we have to stay out here. Neutrality be damned!"

What is this "nonsense" you mentioned?

"You haven't heard? I've been so long in this backwater that I forgot travelers like you don't know all the local gossip.
Started when that Redguard army marched up to the walls and pitched camp. Those tents across the river, that's them."

Redguard army?

"Maybe not an army, but that's what the Duke's men call it. They're all upset these Redguards are here to somehow capture the castle or something.
Personally, I don't get it. Redguards, Bretons, even us Orcs, we're all supposed to be allies."

But you said you're neutral.

"I'm with the Mages Guild. Pursuit of knowledge and standing ready against any Daedric threat—that's what we're about.
So Master Curmaland doesn't want us getting tangled up in local politics."

And you're just camping out here?

"Camping? Not ever! I'll leave the rugged stuff to the boys in the Fighters Guild.
No, fortunately the Bienena family is willing to put us up at their house. It's a little cramped, but its [sic] better than sleeping out here with the mosquitoes."
