Quest-Related Events[edit]
As you approach to free him:
- Gaubert Cerone: "Don't feed me to-wait you're not one of these marauders."
When you free him:
- Gaubert Cerone: "Thank the Divines! I thought I'd die down here."
Speaking to him before you speak to Adrahawn:
- "I want to quit this wretched place, but after all that digging I need a moment to catch my breath."
After the creeper has been dealt with, he will be outside with the rest of the freed prisoners. He feels the emotional fatigue of being imprisoned against his own will.
If you saved Bevene:
- "Well, at least someone's happy after all this. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad to be alive, but all I feel is numb after all I've been through."
If Bevene died:
- "We're it then? Barely half of our caravan. Butchered by those monsters. Fed to that thing. I'd say it makes me sick, but I don't feel anything at all. It may not have drank my blood, but it sucked the life out of me all the same."
Either way, you can ask him what happened:
- What happened to you?
- "You saw how they had us. Chained up, tending to that thing. Working my hands raw as its angry thorns raked at my skin. There was no escape from it. I could feel the vines slithering around my neck as I tried to sleep. Hungry.
I … need to rest."
