Dragon continuity in Fang Lair[edit]
According to dialogue in ESO, Caluurion and his friends in the late first era were the ones that killed Thurvokun, who would be the Dragon that hid away in Fang Lair. But in the King Edward books, it says that it was Moraelyn and his friends that killed a Dragon in Fang Lair, taking a sword that was plunged into its nose. Technically, Moraelyn's story would have happened before Caluurion's story. Moraelyn was around when the Nords had Morrowind, which was around the time of the Alessians. And according to Ulfnor, Thurvokun was found and killed around the time of the Reman Empire. There's a large gap in time between these two points in lore. We have two bits of conflicting information here. What do you guys think of this? I would prefer Moraelyn's story, but Caluurion's would be considered canon at this point. --Vincentius1 (talk) 18:30, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- In addition to King Edward almost certainly being pretty much pure fiction, it doesn't at all state that Moraelyn and his friends slew a dragon in Fang Lair. On the contrary—they befriended the dragon in Fang Lair; the stories don't conflict at all. Feel free to add information about King Edward to the page—but I would personally question using it as a historical source. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 19:06, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Ah man, I think I misinterpreted that whole thing. I was under the impression that they killed the Dragon, in order to get the Dragon's Blade, which was in his nose. But I've heard that the King Edward books are historical fiction, so it isn't completely fiction. But you're still right. --Vincentius1 (talk) 20:06, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
Geography[edit]
"At the peak of Arkngthamz's power, Clan Kragen decided to expand their holdings to the southwest"
There is no source given for "Southwest" being the direction which Clan Kragen tunnelled, nor does it make sense - ESO's placement of Fang Lair is on the headwaters of the Bjulsae at Jackdaw Cove, which is *North* west in even the most liberal interpretations, from Arkngthamz. At any rate, other sources used by UESP only refer to a western migration. I'd be inclined to edit this, but want to check first. — Unsigned comment by 1.129.110.155 (talk) at 19:12 on 27 July 2020
