Lore talk:Crusader's Relics
Crusader relics made of corundum/steel?[edit]
Does this mean the Crusader relics are officially made of corundum, and therefore about equal or slightly higher in armor rating than steel armor? Or is Creation Club content not considered to be truly canonical? — Unsigned comment by C0rTeZ48 (talk • contribs) at 11:31 on 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Creation Club content is considered canon. Although I can't find anything in the Creation explicitly stating the relics are made of corundum, they are tempered with corundum. Comparing the relics' armor rating to steel armor would be going too much into game mechanics for a lore page. --Oriwa Talk 16:46, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

- They are divine relics, so the material they are made from has no bearing upon the protection they offer. There is nothing meaningful we can say about these items in terms of armor quality, since in Oblivion they come in both light and heavy versions and have a leveled armor rating. —Legoless (talk) 16:58, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
(←) Bringing this back up again in light of an anonymous editor's repeated removal of this information. Saying that Creation Club is not really a reliable lore source is not a justifiable reason for this removal, and it's also false to claim that only the light set are improved with corundum. I'm open to presenting the information in a different format but outright removal is not the way to go. Personally I don't see why this information is so controversial; we never knew what the items were made of in Oblivion because that game didn't have an advanced crafting system. To me, it seems notable enough to include in the opening sentence, as we do on all other artifact pages when we know the material. —Legoless (talk) 18:02, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
