Link[edit]
The fact that you can level up your archery skill so much with Angi to me merits a link to her somehow. Maybe a note on the skills page, or starting out section, quests to do first, that sort of thing. Anyways just think Angi would help someone in the beginning a lot if they wanted to level archery faster. — Unsigned comment by D. Gemini (talk • contribs) at 00:12 on February 27, 2012
- A note is found at Skyrim:Archery#Free Skill Boosts. elliot (talk) 04:20, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- And I don't think she should be included in any list of starting-out tips. Training with her is far more valuable once your Archery skill is at 90+, when there are no other training options and gaining the equivalent experience yourself requires a huge number of shots. Using her early in the game is a waste. --NepheleTalk 04:30, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- On top of that, it really helps to have the high-level Archery perk Quick Shot that allows you to shoot thirty per cent faster. Your archery has to be at 70+ to get this. 174.6.51.17 01:39, 30 September 2012 (GMT)

Real-time Training[edit]
Are there any other Trainers like her that train you in real time? — Unsigned comment by Thevengeance (talk • contribs) at 00:08 on 26 June 2012
- As far as I know, there are no other NPCs in the game who will literally train you the way Angi does so that you gain skill boosts. Technically, Angi is not considered a trainer in the sense that you cannot pay her for training your skill. But there are several NPCs who will grant you free skill boosts as rewards for completing quests (and some of the quests are quite quick & simple). ABCface◥ 04:01, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
Incorrect note[edit]
There is a note which states "The most distant target. The arrow drops back into trajectory, has 'gathered', at this distance. Aim dead center once again." However from my experience aiming dead centre caused the arrow to miss, it was when I aimed slightly above the target did I finally hit. I feel this note needs to be looked at. 93.97.59.190 17:30, 5 September 2012 (EDT)
- I had the same experience with this.--149.160.118.50 21:06, 9 May 2013 (GMT)
- Yup. After the most recent patches the trajectory has been altered. 118.172.59.165 11:01, 18 June 2013 (GMT)

- As it is written now, it reads: "For the farthest target, the arrow drops back into trajectory; aim about a full target's width above the top of the target." But this is incorrect. Aiming slightly below the target results in a hit. ( I wasted a half hour following the advice as it is currently written, please correct it. Thank you) — Unsigned comment by 207.98.234.156 (talk) at 12:14 on 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Unofficial complete?[edit]
I got to the last challenge, hit all 4 targets in 10 seconds, but I couldn't do it. I tried at least 15 times and still couldnt hit them! I did the other challenges with no problem, but i keep running out of time. Is there a way to complete this using console or something because its not a quest and my Bosmer archer needs this... — Unsigned comment by 121.223.161.64 (talk) at 10:07 on 16 September 2012
- The purpose of it is to train your skills. If you simply want to raise your skill level use the console to add the skill points. Golden SilenceBreak the Silence 10:38, 16 September 2012 (GMT)

- If the purpose of this impossible challenge is to train your skills, then it fails UTTERLY. At no point during this impossible challenge does Angi give you a single bit of feedback, so how is that teaching you ANYTHING? Nothing even tells you how many targets you missed, let alone which ones. It certainly doesn't provide any useful feedback such as whether your shots went high or low, left or right. I have no clue whether I'm hitting ANY of the targets. How does this qualify as teaching? How does this qualify as training? Simple: IT DOESN"T. Hell, I can't even see the farthest target let alone whether or not I'm hitting it. I'm just firing blind, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and hoping I will finally get lucky. And if you think I wrote "OVER" too many times there, I've already tried to complete this stupid, impossible challenge more times than I wrote "OVER" in this paragraph. It doesn't help that apparently the targets are somehow "glitching"? when she says "Watch it!" which means my shots which are on target might not even be getting registered, and it also doesn't help that about half my shots are nerfed by that bug that makes them go just a few feet before they fall off. And if this was supposed to teach people how to do archery properly, it should have been designed to be found early in the game the way the blacksmith tutorial is, it shouldn't require high level perks to have even a chance at it, and it should have a reward that is more suitable for a starting character rather than one it makes sense to defer to the very last levels. This is a wretchedly bad quest in every respect, and I hope the designers are ashamed of it. Valeria (talk) 05:55, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
New problem[edit]
After the most recent patches have been installed the target practice has become VERY buggy.
- The trajectory has been altered. Closest target, flat. Next closest (left), 1 target width down, next closest (right) back to flat. Farthest target, aim needs to be 1 to 1 1/2 target width above.
- If you fire any arrow except a practice arrow the practice may be impossible. Even if you have no other arrows in your inventory you may get a warning from Angi (Hey! Watch it!), you will have fired a real arrow and all subsequent shots won't be counted. — Unsigned comment by 118.172.59.165 (talk) at 10:59 on 18 June 2013

- I've emptied my inventory of all arrows, (I only had iron ones) then did up through the 8 second challenge. On the last one Angi always said 'Better luck next time'. On 10 of these attempts I found I had shot an iron arrow which I found on the ground near a target. Sniffles (talk) 11:07, 18 June 2013 (GMT)
A small tip[edit]
So for people who want to complete this challenge without cheating, I found something that helped me a lot but I'm not sure if it merits being put on the main page. Use the free Hunting Bow that Angi offers you instead of your own Ebony Bow of Overpoweredness or whatever. The humble Hunting Bow has a slightly faster draw speed, and since the goal of the two trickier challenges is speed, that will help you complete them in time. By using the hunting bow I was finally able to complete this challenge on the Xbox, where it's rather difficult to be both precise and speedy due to using the analog sticks to aim! 98.204.42.6 19:01, 30 October 2013 (GMT)
- Good point! I added it to the article. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 19:20, 30 October 2013 (GMT)
- Using the Quick Shot, Eagle Eye and Steady Hand 25% perks and a superior glass bow, spent almost an hour in poor weather on the final test, no dice. It was a clearer day next visit, no upgrade to perks, archery up 2 or 3 to 86,- but now with the smithy glass perk the epic glass bow passed the test in the first attempt.--Lmstearn (talk) 04:45, 7 January 2014 (GMT)
Moved from article[edit]
Interestingly, Angi is not technically an Archery trainer despite actually training the player in Archery.
I removed this note from the page because it feels too much like trivia to me. I don't think it adds anything that can't be reasonably inferred from reading the page, and it may also come across as confusing to someone unfamiliar with the character. Simple tips[edit]
Keep it simple. Aim straight at the middle target and the right target. Aim slightly lower at the left target. Aim slightly higher at the farthest target. Tested using Nord Hero Bow. 115.133.255.49 21:39, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
