Dariah, known under her nickname Copper, also referred to as Copper Dariah was a Redguard leader of the Daggerfall Covenant intelligence network Ring of Daggers, serving under High King Emeric during the Interregnum, in 2E 582.[2]
History[edit]
At an unknown point in time, Dariah climbed the ranks and became the leader of the Ring of Daggers. She got the position after she demanded repayment from the High King Emeric himself.[3] Her lover was tortured and killed during the Ranser's War by Gerard Althen, the spymaster of King Ranser. She ordered the agent of the Daggers to eliminate Althen, and years later, in 2E 582 they found the hideout of the former spymaster. It is unknown, however, whether they succeeded or not to eliminate him.[4][5][6]
During her tenure she made numerous acquaintances among the members of the enemy factions, such as Thrush, the leader of the Hidden Armigers of the Ebonheart Pact and members of the Eyes of the Queen of the Aldmeri Dominion: Razum-dar and Cariel,[7] the latter of whom being responsible for collapsing a building on top of her at some point during the Three Banners War.[2][8]
In 2E 582 she partook in the organization of the meeting of the Alliance leaders in the neutral territory on the isle of Stirk.[2][9] Prior to the talks she met with the Vestige and Vanus Galerion in Daggerfall on the behalf of the High King Emeric.[1][10]
At some point after the defeat of the Molag Kena in the White-Gold Tower, during the Planemeld Obverse, Dhulef, a court mage of the House Mornard of Galen inquired Copper Dariah, who was his old associate and his personal acquaintance, about the whereabouts of the Empress Regent Clivia Tharn. She responded in a cryptic manner: "Stop asking about the Tharns. They're graveyard dead, buried in the ground. We have enough unquiet corpses in the world. Why go making more?"[11]
Copper Dariah found the connection between the Vestige and the Thieves Guild, active in the Hew's Bane. She informed the High King Emeric about the allegiances of their ally. Emeric, however, agreed to overlook this, as, according to him commerce in Tamriel would not work without the guild.[1]
