A view of Akamora

Akamora (or Draloris) is the largest Indoril settlement in the Mephalan Vales region, a beautiful city built into the side of a mountain and surrounded by waterfalls. However, the surrounding high cliffs and narrow mountain paths make the city naturally defensible, and so the nobles have more to worry about from their in-house rivals. This scheming prevents any of them from consolidating power and claiming the council seat that would befit a settlement of Draloris' size. It is close to the border between Indoril and Telvanni territory. It contains a temple and guildhalls for the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and Morag Tong.

People[edit]

The current official lord of Akamora is Novas Senim, although his rule is contested by two other noble factions, with one led by the ambitious Seras Indaren, and a third by the commercially-minded Telera Parys‎, who operates most of the town's businesses. The captain of the guard is Flaalsa Irano, with Flaalsa's sister, Laalalvo Irano, leading the Guild of Fighters. The Guild of Mages is headed by Ranosa Orrels, and the Morag Tong guild by Vaden Salothril. The city is riddled with the manors of various noble houses, with most being allied with the Senim, Indaren or Parys families. The local Temple lacks a master, and so does not have a notable representative.

For a complete list of people in town, see People in Akamora.

Getting There and Around[edit]

The easiest way to reach Akamora is by Silt Strider, with routes from Sailen, Necrom, and Tel Muthada available. The link to Tel Muthada and the Telvanni lands beyond makes Akamora an important stop for those wishing to travel to the northern reaches of Morrowind. The town also is host to a Dunmer Temple, and so is reachable by Almsivi Intervention spells. Members of the Mainland Mages Guild can utilize a Guild Guide to travel to the local Mages Guild. This is connected to the Southeastern Guild Guide hub which includes the Old Ebonheart guild guide. The mountain paths for reaching the city on foot are treacherous, and the Mephalan Vales region is rife with dangerous creatures and bandits.

Notes[edit]

  • Outlanders in Akamora will state the city is referred to as Dragon Glade on Imperial maps. Dragon Glade was a town in The Elder Scrolls: Arena.
  • Akamora's numerous egg-mines are noted to be among the most productive in Morrowind which explains the inordinate amount of manors.
